Hello and welcome to my online studio. I first started painting in 1987 at the age of 28. I started out painting with oils and have remained an avid oil painter ever since.
I am primarily a self-taught artist and I am currently working out of my home studio in Texas.
I love to paint peaceful landscapes scenes full of color, light and shadows. One of my favorite subjects to paint is the beautiful landscapes of Colorado. I also love to paint figurative landscapes and garden scenes.
In my creative process I will either reference photograph's that I have taken or paint from my own memory of places that I have been.
My goal as an artist is to create a feeling of peace and serenity in the observer when viewing my art.
I am inspired to paint by the love and support of my wife and soul mate Christine and by the colorful and majestic landscapes of God's creation.
